Product Description

The CAST IRON RODS NON MACHINABLE FONWELD E-117 2.5MM are specially designed welding electrodes for the repair and welding of cast iron components. FONWELD E117 features a steel wire core with a special coating and produces a weld deposit that is non-machinable and intended for finishing by grinding only. It provides good bonding characteristics and is particularly suitable for cast-iron repair work where machining of the weld is not required.

The 2.5mm diameter is suitable for controlled repair work, including filling cavities and repairing damaged or corroded cast-iron components. The specified welding current is 70–90 amps, using DCEP current.
